ADWAVE is an annual communication event organised by the final year students of the School of Communication, Universiti Sains Malaysia. In 2014, ADWAVE enters its 17^th edition. This year's edition sees a collaboration between Universiti Sains Malaysia and Indah Water Consortium ( IWK ).

ADWAVE manifests IWK's focus on sustainability as well as continuous commitment to preserve the environment. Such responsibility begins with awareness among youths on the importance of preserving the environment. This theme specifically refers to the responsibility of the youths ( Gen Y) in ensuring a sustainable environment.

Thus, through ADWAVE, different activities including a viral video competition, series of roadshows, workshops and exhibition are planned with the main aim of increasing youths’ awareness and knowledge on the importance of preserving the environment. ADWAVE kicks off on 25 March and will last until 25 May 2014. Through ADWAVE, Universiti Sains Malaysia and IWK primarily target the participation of students from all public and private higher learning institutions in the country.
